Konz Music Festival 2026

The Konz Music Festival is one of the most ambitious chamber music festivals in the southwest of Rhineland-Palatinate. From August 27 to September 6, 2026, it will occupy selected premium venues in and around Konz – wineries, historic houses, and cultural sites – thus making an extraordinary atmospheric connection between the region's wine, culture, and music traditions audible.

The opening concert will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Weingut Müller in Konz-Krettnach – a house with a long Saar wine tradition. On Friday, August 28, a concert will follow at Haus Beda in Bitburg, a renowned cultural center in the Eifel region. On August 29 and 30, the festival returns to Weingut Müller. Further concerts are planned until September 6 at various venues.

In terms of content, the festival curates a program of classical and contemporary chamber music. International soloists as well as outstanding chamber music ensembles are invited. The appeal of the event lies in its proximity: Compared to large concert halls, the selected venues – winery halls, historic rooms, cultural centers – create an extraordinary acoustic intimacy, allowing the music to reach the audience directly.

The Konz region lies at the confluence of the Moselle and Saar rivers in the Trier-Saarburg district. It is known for its exceptional Saar wines as well as its rich cultural tradition. The festival uses these conditions to combine its concerts with selected wine presentations or complementary cultural offerings – a format that appeals to both regular classical music patrons and wine and culture tourists interested in music.
