Six weeks of romantic Christmas market in the historic old town around Jesuitenplatz and Münzplatz
The Koblenz Christmas Market is one of the most important Christmas attractions on the Middle Rhine and a significant economic factor for Koblenz's city center during the Advent month. The organizer is Koblenz-Touristik in cooperation with the City of Koblenz.
The market extends over several squares and streets in the historic old town:
The old town is festively illuminated with fairy lights and stars. The stage programs range from choir concerts, brass concerts, and wind ensembles to musical performances and children's programs. Stalls offer mulled wine, punch, bratwurst, Schwenkbraten (grilled pork neck), Reibekuchen (potato pancakes), gingerbread, chestnuts, and various handicrafts.
While the main markets at Jesuitenplatz and Liebfrauenkirche run until December 22nd, some areas of the old town with festive catering are open even until January 5th, 2027 – a unique selling point of the Koblenz Christmas Market.
The 2026 edition is spread across several squares in the old town and offers an extensive stage program. Detailed stage programs will be published by Koblenz-Touristik in autumn 2026 at koblenzer-weihnachtsmarkt.de/programme.
