Run where the cranes rest
The Klausdorfer Kranichlauf is not named by chance: The region around Klausdorf, Bock, and the western edge of Rügen is one of the major gathering places for migrating cranes in Northern Germany. The routes of the run lead directly into this Bodden landscape — a mix of asphalt, field paths, and coastal idyll, with the Vorpommernhus on Prohner Straße as the focal point.
Four distances, one club heart
Klausdorfer SC e.V. has been organizing the run since 2012 and has gradually made it a fixture in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's running calendar. The program includes four routes: the 15 km for ambitious runners, the 10 km as a classic, the 4.2 km as a beginner and family route, and the Landknirpselauf over 500 meters for the youngest. Timing is done by chip by Tollense Timing.
Handmade medals instead of standard issue
A special feature that is often shared in the running community: Instead of standard medals, all finishers in Klausdorf receive handmade medals. In addition, there are certificates for all participants and an award ceremony for the top three women and men per route and age group.
Vorpommernhus as the base station
The routes start and finish at the Vorpommernhus on Prohner Straße 20. Changing rooms, sanitary facilities, parking, and catering are concentrated around this area. The atmosphere on the Bodden shore is clearly characterized by the club's spirit — many helpers from Klausdorf and the surrounding area make the day possible.
