Take the Ahrtalbahn (RB 30) to Bad Neuenahr, then a short walk to the Kurpark. Parking is available in Bad Neuenahr's multi-storey car parks.
Multimedia Production in the Kurpark
Since its first staging, the Klangwelle has evolved into one of Germany's largest and most elaborate open-air multimedia shows. The Kurpark Bad Neuenahr provides the ideal setting: expansive water features, mature trees, and the curved spa architecture allow for light installations that wouldn't be possible in enclosed spaces.
Water, Fire, Laser, Light and Music
At its heart are water fountains that shoot over 30 meters into the air and can be shaped into moving images. Pyrotechnics, lasers, and programmed light choreographies are layered on top; a specially composed musical score guides the show. The program ranges from classical music and film scores to pop and crossover arrangements. Each show is designed as a self-contained production and differs from the previous year.
Eight Performances over Two Weekends
Klangwelle 2026 will take place on eight evenings, spread across two weekends in October. The concept has proven successful: Thursday to Sunday, with admission in the early evening and the show starting two hours later. This allows for combining the event with a stay in Bad Neuenahr, which is particularly attractive for visitors from the Rhineland and the Eifel region.
Over 19,000 Visitors in 2025
The 2025 edition alone attracted over 19,000 visitors across eight performances. The Klangwelle has thus established itself as a tourist brand for Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and is actively promoted by the spa center. Tickets are available via ahrtal.de and the official Klangwelle website.
