Top-class sport meets amateur sport – Olympians and World Champions on the island
The Langeoog Champions Days are a sports festival with an unusual concept: top-class sport and amateur sport meet. Olympians and World Champions are not just present as star guests – they actively participate in the events, train with amateur athletes, give workshops, and are available for talk rounds. The 2nd edition takes place from July 14th to 17th, 2026.
Two prominent German Olympic athletes have been confirmed:
Further top athletes will be confirmed by the organizer in advance.
The program includes five sporting focuses:
In addition to the sporting activities, there are talk rounds with the stars – discussions about careers, training routines, Olympic Games, highlights, and setbacks. Autograph sessions complement the program and offer fans the opportunity for personal encounters with the sports legends.
With the Champions Days, the island of Langeoog is developing into a remarkable sports destination. The car-free island with its wide beaches, dunes, and island atmosphere offers a unique setting for sports events. The sports beach is spacious enough for beach disciplines, and the island location creates a focused atmosphere that differs from mainland tourism.
With only two editions, the Champions Days are still young – but the concept has potential. The combination of celebrity factor, sporting diversity, and island atmosphere is a mix that appeals equally to residents, holidaymakers, and sports enthusiasts.
The Champions Days are a deliberately curated concept that places top sports stars in an amateur sports context. The encounter between Olympic legends and amateur athletes is unique.
The exact program points, further stars, and the routes for the sports activities will be published by the organizer in advance.
