May Day in the Wine Town of Kitzingen
The Kitzingen MainFestival is a popular start to the month of May in the town of Kitzingen, Kitzingen district, Bavaria. On May 1st, the Kitzingen Marketing Association invites you to a full day of enjoyment, music, and conviviality on the Main.
Vintage Cars on the Bleichwasen
A highlight is the young and vintage car meet of Classic Cars KT on the Bleichwasen. Enthusiasts of historic and modern classics present their vehicles – an attraction for technology fans from the entire Mainfranken region.
Street Food and StadtSchoppen
On the Weinfestplatz, a street food mile by Hafen7 ensures culinary diversity. At the same time, the StadtSchoppen is opened on the Stadtbalkon – a convivial meeting point where Franconian wine is enjoyed ('geschöppelt') well into the evening.
Free City Tours
The Tourist Information offers free public city tours that lead through Kitzingen's picturesque medieval old town. The MainFestival thus combines festival culture with a city experience and invites exploration.
Kitzingen on the Main
Kitzingen is located in the heart of Franconian wine country on the Main River. The MainFestival fits into the traditional event calendar of the wine town and makes May 1st a day of family and enjoyment for locals and guests.

The MainFestival 2026 will be celebrated on May 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM in Kitzingen. The organizer is the Kitzingen Marketing Association.
On offer are a young and vintage car meet of Classic Cars KT on the Bleichwasen, the street food mile by Hafen7 on the Weinfestplatz, the opening of the StadtSchoppen on the Stadtbalkon, and live music. The Tourist Information also offers free public city tours.
