At the end of September 2026, Ludwigsstadt will celebrate its traditional Kirchweih. On Kirchweih Sunday, traders will set up their stalls in the historic market square, in the afternoon the parade of Unity Couples – led by the mayor – will proceed through the town to the Hermann-Söllner-Halle. A musical Kirchweih afternoon with the Stadtkapelle will follow, and in the evening, a dance evening with live music. Culinary highlights include Thuringian dumplings and bratwurst specialties. The festival is organized by the Kirchweihgesellschaft Ludwigsstadt.

Kirchweih Sunday: Kirchweih market on the market square from the morning, parade of Unity Couples in the afternoon through the town to the Hermann-Söllner-Halle, followed by a musical Kirchweih afternoon with the Stadtkapelle and a dance evening with live music. The town of Ludwigsstadt in the Kronach district, located in the far north of Upper Franconia on the border with Thuringia, celebrates its traditional Kirchweih every year in September. Organized by the Kirchweihgesellschaft Ludwigsstadt, the "Kerwa" is one of the social highlights of the year.
