The Kirchweih Leerstetten 2026 will be celebrated from August 21 to 24 at the Kirchplatz in the Leerstetten district. On Friday, August 21, the Kirchweih festival procession will open the festivities at 6:15 PM. For four days, Kerwaboum and Kerwamadli will ensure authentic Franconian Kirwa flair: Kerwabaum, Kerwatanz (Kirchweih dance), brass music, Franconian delicacies, and convivial gatherings. On Kirchweih day, the Kerwa couples will attend the church service together – an expression of the close connection between the church and the village community.

Getting There
Leerstetten is a district of the municipality of Schwanstetten in the Roth district of Middle Franconia. Arrive by car via the B 8 / A 6, south of Nuremberg. The Kirchplatz on Hauptstraße 6a is centrally located in the village.

The Kirchweih Leerstetten is deeply rooted in Franconian tradition. It takes place every year on the fourth weekend of August in the Leerstetten district of the municipality of Schwanstetten in the Roth district.
