Family festival for Children's Day in the Saalekreis village of Obhausen
The Kindertags-Fest Obhausen is a small but established village tradition in Saalekreis. On June 1st — International Children's Day, which was a public holiday in the GDR and is still lovingly celebrated in eastern Germany today — the Weida-Land association organizes a family festival for the children of Obhausen and the surrounding area.
The venue is the square behind the Kita — a central meeting point in the village, which is ideally set up for such occasions. The program includes a bouncy castle, game stations, craft activities, small performances by the Kita children, coffee and cake for the parents, and a small stage for musical contributions.
Obhausen is a municipality of the Weida-Land association in Saalekreis, located about 30 km west of Halle (Saale). The association comprises several smaller towns and organizes numerous community events throughout the year — from the harvest festival (Erntedankfest) to the Advent festival and summer programs. The Children's Day festival is part of the regular early summer program.
The Weida-Land association invites you to the Kindertags-Fest on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 (shortly after International Children's Day on June 1st), from 3 PM on the square behind the Obhausen Kita. A bouncy castle, game stations, a small stage, and a coffee reception will form the framework.
