The Children's Carnival of the Kylltalnarren Jünkerath on February 7, 2026, is one of the highlights of the Jünkerath carnival session. The programmatic time of 2:33 PM – a child-friendly version of the classic "eleven-eleven" – marks the beginning of an afternoon tailored entirely to the younger generation. Dance performances, music, interactive elements, and a consistently colorful costume atmosphere characterize the celebration.

Schmengler-Saal as a Children's Carnival Stage

The venue is the Schmengler-Saal in Jünkerath – a traditional club hall that, with its stage, dance floor, and ample space for families, is ideally suited for this occasion. The hall is decorated by the association according to the session's motto; colorful lanterns, streamers, and carnival flags create the right atmosphere from the start.

Dance Troupes and Stage Program

The focus is on the Kylltalnarren's dance troupes, especially the children's troupes. They present rehearsed dances and choreographies practiced throughout the carnival year. In addition, there are interactive choreographies where the young audience is actively involved. Short sketches, jester performances, and sing-along songs round off the stage program.

The Eifel carnival thrives on strong family roots. Children whose parents and grandparents were already active in the clubs grow into the tradition. The Children's Carnival is therefore more than just an entertainment program – it is the passing on of carnival tradition to the next generation. Additionally, on January 24, 2026, from 8:11 PM, the Pelmer Ulkvögel, a friendly association, will host a Fastelowend Oowend in Pelm – part of the close carnival network of the northern Vulkaneifel.
