The Kreisstadtfest is the big city center festival of Kelheim, the seat of the district of the same name in Lower Bavaria. For two days, the entire city center is transformed into a celebration and promenade mile with over 30 program points and 43 exhibitors – from the Befreiungshalle-Stadt to the historic old town at the confluence of the Danube and Altmühl.
Stages and Program
Live music can be heard on several stages: the main stage at Stadtplatz, the Donaustraße stage, the Altmühlstraße stage, and the Alter Markt stage. In addition, there is a varied children's program that attracts families from all over the region.

Kreisstadtfest Kelheim — edition 2026
On July 3rd and 4th, 2026, the Kelheim city center will be transformed into a celebration and promenade mile. The festival starts on Friday at 6:00 PM. Over 30 program points and 43 exhibitors will be offered. Live music will be played on the main stage at Stadtplatz as well as on the Donaustraße, Altmühlstraße, and Alter Markt stages. A diverse children's program and the beer specialties of the Kelheim breweries Frischeisen, Schneider Weisse, and Weltenburger complete the festival.

Friday from 6:00 PM and Saturday: over 30 program points throughout the city center. Four stages – main stage Stadtplatz, Donaustraße stage, Altmühlstraße stage, Alter Markt stage – with live music. 43 exhibitors, children's program, culinary offerings, and beer specialties from the Kelheim breweries.
