Kattenes Wine Festival – Advance Ticket Sales 2026

The Kattenes Wine and Heritage Festival is one of the most traditional Moselle wine festivals on the Untermosel and is celebrated annually on the third weekend in June. The Kattenes district of Löf is picturesquely situated between vineyards and the Moselle and is one of the smaller, but all the more authentic, wine villages of the Untermosel region. The Kattenes Wine and Heritage Festival Association has been organizing the festival for decades with great volunteer commitment and has prepared a four-day festival week from June 19 to 22, 2026.

Advance ticket sales for 2026 began on May 4, 2026 – a date that regional wine lovers mark in their calendars, as the more sought-after program items regularly sell out in advance. Tickets for special program items can be secured through local advance ticket outlets, the Kattenes Wine and Heritage Festival Office, and possibly online: wine tastings with samples from several vintners, guided wine evenings, parade seating, and sometimes live concerts on Saturday evening with top regional bands.

The program from June 19 to 22, 2026, follows the proven structure. Friday evening opening with a keg tapping ceremony and a first marquee evening. Saturday the big festival evening with a live band and full capacity in the marquee. Sunday the traditional parade with all clubs and groups from Kattenes and neighboring Moselle towns, followed by a morning pint and family afternoon. Monday the closing day with a morning pint and a relaxed atmosphere.

As expected, Moselle wines are the focus. The Kattenes vintners and vintners from neighboring Moselle towns present their Rieslings, Müller-Thurgau, Burgundy variations, and increasingly sparkling wine made with traditional bottle fermentation. Tasting opportunities are available at several booths, and the marquee catering serves Moselle wines throughout the weekend.

For Moselle tourists, the Kattenes Wine Festival is an authentic experience of village wine culture on the Untermosel – far from the large, often touristically overloaded festivals, and with genuine local flair. Hotels and guesthouses along the Untermosel and in Cochem (approx. 25 km away) are usually fully booked during the festival weekend, so early booking is recommended.
