Kapellen-Drusweiler Federweißenfest

The Federweißenfest Kapellen-Drusweiler is a typical Palatinate late summer wine festival that heralds the season of freshly fermenting Federweißer. It takes place every year on the 3rd weekend of September and uses the village center as its venue – a classic concept of Palatinate village wine festivals that ideally combines conviviality, regional producers, and Palatinate lifestyle.

Federweißer and Palatinate Classics

The focus is on Federweißer, which comes directly from the vineyards around the twin village. This freshly fermenting must is only available for a few weeks a year and is traditionally served with onion cake. In addition, the local vintners serve their established wines – Riesling, Weissburgunder, Spätburgunder, and cuvées from the Bad Bergzabern sites.

Kapellen-Drusweiler Profile

The twin village of Kapellen-Drusweiler emerged from the merger of the two originally separate communities of Kapellen and Drusweiler. It is located in the Bad Bergzaberner Land, south of the spa town and close to the French border.
