CampusKultur as an Anchor

CampusKultur is the central structure at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, under which the university's creative groups, ensembles, and cultural activities are gathered. With eleven groups – from the university orchestra and choir to theatre groups, dance formations, improvisation theatre, and photo and film groups – RPTU boasts a broad cultural repertoire, which will be showcased in the 2026 Summer Programme.

'Raus mit euch!' – The 2026 Motto

The 2026 Summer Programme is under the motto 'Raus mit euch!'. The motto refers to a conscious opening of CampusKultur to the outside world: Instead of the usual events in lecture halls, auditoriums, and studios, many programmes will take place outdoors – on campus, in parks, in the surrounding Palatinate Forest, and at water bodies. This aligns the programme with the summer's focus on nature and creates encounters with the Palatinate landscape, which the university campus borders.

'Farbe!' Photo Exhibition

A central special exhibition in the 2026 programme is 'Farbe!', a photo exhibition by the university photography group. Works from several years will be shown, with a thematic focus on colour in all its diversity – from nature photography and urban colour compositions to abstract and conceptual works. The exhibition will be held at a venue on campus yet to be announced.

250 Years of RPTU

The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of RPTU. The university in its current form emerged in 2023 from the merger of TU Kaiserslautern and the University of Koblenz-Landau; the predecessor institution in Kaiserslautern dates back to 1776 as the Kameralhohe Schule. The 2026 Summer Programme thus coincides with the 250th anniversary of this academic tradition and is also part of the university's comprehensive anniversary programme. All CampusKultur events are generally free and are aimed not only at university members but at the entire population of Kaiserslautern.
