Internationale Oderrundfahrt

One of the oldest stage races in East Germany

Since 1982, the Internationale Oderrundfahrt has been a fixture on the German cycling calendar. The five-day stage race was originally launched by the DTSB of the GDR and was revived after the fall of the Wall with international participation. In 2026, the tour will celebrate its 45th edition.

July 8–12, 2026 — The Route

The race will take place from Wednesday, July 8th, to Sunday, July 12th, 2026. The start and finish will be in the university city of Frankfurt (Oder). Over approximately 350 total kilometers, the route leads along the Oder river, through the Oderbruch and the Lebuser Land.

International Field of Competitors

The field includes classic Continental teams as well as national selection teams from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, and other European countries. For many young professionals, the Oderrundfahrt is a springboard — numerous current WorldTour riders have achieved their first stage victories here.

Part of the Kultursommer Frankfurt/Słubice

The race is integrated into the Kultursommer Frankfurt/Słubice — the cross-border event series of the German-Polish twin city. Sporting event and city festival merge: finish sprints in the city center, public viewing, and supporting programs at the start and finish locations of the stages.

Organizers

The main organizer is the local cycling club in cooperation with the city administration of Frankfurt (Oder), the German Cycling Federation (BDR), and partners from Poland.
