About Street Music Festival Ludwigsburg
Street Music Festival Ludwigsburg — edition 2026
21st Edition in a New Setting
On Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, 2026, the International Street Music Festival Ludwigsburg will be held at a new venue: in the expansive gardens of the Blühendes Barock. The summer solstice weekend offers the longest days of the year — ideal festival weather, in theory.
Around 40 bands and solo artists from all over the world will be spread across eleven stages throughout the garden area. The musical spectrum ranges from singer-songwriter and rock/pop to Latin and Klezmer, as well as hip-hop and country. A street art component — clowns, jugglers, acrobats — will provide entertainment between the stages.

New Concept 2026 — Summer Solstice in the Blühendes Barock
The International Street Music Festival Ludwigsburg has been a fixture of the southern German festival scene since 2005. The 21st edition from June 20 and 21, 2026, marks a new beginning: for the first time, the festival will take place on the weekend of the summer solstice — and for the first time in the expansive gardens of the Blühendes Barock around Ludwigsburg Palace. Instead of the previous city center performances, the festival is now becoming a garden festival in one of Europe's most beautiful Baroque complexes.
40 Bands from All Over the World on Eleven Stages
Around 40 street musicians and bands from all over the world will perform on eleven stages spread across the garden area. The musical spectrum is deliberately broad: singer-songwriters from Scandinavia, rock and pop from Western Europe, Latin from Latin America, Klezmer from Eastern Europe, hip-hop and country from North America. Already announced acts include HaltMaKurz (German cover band), Mellie Meteors (Dutch rock/indie/blues ensemble), Fede Marka (Italian rock/indie/blues artist), and Sleepwalker's Station (German singer-songwriter/folk). The complete band list will be published via the festival's communication channels in the weeks before the festival.
Clowns, Jugglers, and Acrobats
The music is complemented by a street art component: clowns, jugglers, and acrobats will entertain audiences along the paths between the stages. The atmosphere will be a blend of a classic street music festival and a family Sunday in the park.
Audience Voting for the Closing Performance
A traditional highlight is the audience voting: over the two festival days, guests vote online and at the stages for their favorite bands. The top acts will perform on the main stage directly in front of the palace on Sunday evening to close the festival — a moving spectacle against the Baroque backdrop.
Sparda-Bank, Energy, and Media Partners
The festival is presented by Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg, with further partners including the radio station Energy and local media. Tickets are available through the Blueba ticketing platform — admission to the Blühendes Barock on the festival weekend costs less than on normal garden days, as the city of Ludwigsburg subsidizes the festival rate.
Ludwigsburg — City of Festivals
Ludwigsburg, the district town in the Ludwigsburg district, with just over 95,000 inhabitants, is one of Baden-Württemberg's most important cultural cities. In addition to the Street Music Festival, the Ludwigsburg Palace Festival (classical music), the Ludwigsburg Festival of Lights (over 60,000 lanterns in the Blühendes Barock), the Balloon Blooming Festival days, and the Horse Market Festival shape the cultural agenda. The Blühendes Barock — the Baroque palace garden — is the central venue year-round.
