Three-day town festival on the third weekend in June — food stalls from associations, concerts, family program, and craft market
Ilshofen, with just under 6,000 inhabitants, is located in the Schwäbisch Hall district, in the Hohenlohe part of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The town is one of the smaller central towns in the region — characterized by agriculture, with the Bauernfelder tradition (Ilshofen has one of the largest pig loading facilities in Southern Germany), but at the same time with a dense club life and an active cultural landscape. The annual town festival on the third weekend in June is one of the most important community events in the town's calendar.
From Friday, June 19, to Sunday, June 21, 2026, the town center will transform into an open festival stage. Local associations and organizations — sports, music, fire department, marksmen, church, kindergartens, schools — set up food stalls, manage catering, and organize stage programs. Concerts and musical performances are spread across the three days; various family attractions (bouncy castle, children's games, carousel) are part of the program for the youngest guests.
A distinct part of the festival is the Krämermarkt (craft market) — a traditional market with vendors from the region offering their goods on the surrounding streets. The range is wide, from classic market offerings (textiles, tools, household goods, jewelry) to specialty products. The market also attracts visitors from the surrounding Hohenlohe communities — even those who come just for a stroll will find the town festival combined with the market offerings.
Ilshofen is located only about 15 kilometers northeast of Schwäbisch Hall in the part of the Schwäbisch Hall district close to the Hohenlohe district. The town is a hub between the Hohenlohe plain and the transition to the Taubertal valley. In the state of Baden-Württemberg, Hohenlohe is one of Württemberg's two most important wine regions — the combination of agriculture, club life, and a tranquil cultural landscape shapes the entire townscape and the festival weekend.
The town of Ilshofen and its local associations are organizing the 2026 Town Festival in its established three-day format. Friday evening opening with beer tapping and first live music, Saturday main event day with stage program and craft market day, Sunday family program and festival finale.
The detailed program — stage acts, concert points, market dates — will be published on ilshofen.de before the festival weekend. For vendor and association registration, the town of Ilshofen, Haller Straße 1, 74532 Ilshofen, is the contact person.
