15 Years of Autumn Lights
The Hooksieler Herbstleuchten has been a firm fixture in Wangerland's autumn calendar since 2012. What began as a small light installation has developed over the years into a popular event that draws hundreds of visitors to the Old Harbour of Hooksiel on an autumn evening.
Light on the Harbour
The light show utilises the unique backdrop of the Old Harbour: jetties, boats, historic harbour walls, and buildings are showcased with colourful light. Reflections in the harbour basin double the effect, creating an almost surreal atmosphere.
Live Music on the Harbour Stage
Local bands or regional acts play live music on the harbour stage. The musical spectrum is tailored to the autumnal character: often acoustic, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes rousing.
Fire Show as the Climax
The fire show is the visual highlight of the evening. Fire swords, poi dancing, fire wheels – the artists present their craft in the semi-darkness against the backdrop of the harbour lights. A moving moment that remains long in the memory.
End of Season in Wangerland
The Herbstleuchten symbolically marks the end of the open-air season in Wangerland. With the arrival of autumn, peace returns to the coastal village, and the Herbstleuchten serves as a kind of farewell to summer – with sparkle, music, and warmth.
