Hoflärm Festival — when the farm becomes a Doom temple

From August 13th to 15th, 2026, the 7th edition of the Hoflärm Festival will take place at the Obersalterberger Hof in Seelbach (Windeck-Marienthal) in the Siegtal valley. What looks like an ordinary farm — Obersalterberger Hof 1, 57577 Marienthal — transforms for three days in August into one of the hottest meeting points for the international Stoner Rock, Doom, and Psychedelic Rock scene. Small, refined, international — not a mass festival on a greenfield site, but a curated heavy rock party in an idyllic hilly landscape.

Line-up 2026 — Stoner-Doom highlights from three continents

The first acts for 2026 have already been confirmed — a mix of genre greats and up-and-coming bands:

• Kadavar (Berlin) — Headliner. The most important German Stoner/Heavy Psych band of the 2010s and 2020s, with a range from Black Sabbath heritage to Krautrock
• Kylesa (Savannah, USA) — Sludge Metal legends, known for their double drum setup
• Midnight (Cleveland, USA) — Speed/Black Metal with Punk energy
• Dead Meadow (Washington DC, USA) — Pioneers of Heavy Psych Rock
• Conan (Liverpool, UK) — British Doom heaviness, one of the loudest live acts worldwide
• Meatbodies (Los Angeles, USA) — Garage Rock with Psych tendencies
• Castle Rat (Brooklyn, USA) — Doom theatricality with medieval aesthetics
• Cardiel (Mexico) — Psychedelic Punk from Mexico City
• Mother Bear — Underground Heavy Rock
• Suck — Heavy Rock newcomers

Obersalterberger Hof — the festival location

The festival takes place at the Obersalterberger Hof in Seelbach, near Windeck-Marienthal on the Sieg river. The farm gastronomy is the traditional Hofcafé Heinzelmännchen. The atmosphere is the opposite of mainstream festivals: small stage, short distances, familiar vibe. Festival camping directly on the grounds, the campsite opens on Thursday, August 13th at 10:00 AM.

Genres — Heavy Psych, Doom, Stoner, Sludge

Hoflärm is clearly positioned: it is not a mainstream rock festival. The curated selection moves within the genres:

• Stoner Rock — Riff-oriented heavy rock with roots in Kyuss and Black Sabbath
• Doom Metal — heavy, slow, mystical
• Heavy Psychedelic — extended trips, Krautrock heritage
• Sludge Metal — dirty, melancholic, droning
• Garage Rock / Punk — the rough brothers in the genre universe

Windeck and the Siegtal valley — the backdrop

The municipality of Windeck is located in the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis district, in southeastern North Rhine-Westphalia, on the border with Rhineland-Palatinate. The Sieg natural region offers hilly low mountain landscape, small villages, and lots of forest. The Obersalterberger Hof is situated majestically in this idyllic landscape — a perfect contrast to the intense music that booms from the courtyard for three days.
