The Himmelfahrt Festival is the techno open-air event of the Heizhaus Club Erfurt. On May 14th and 15th, 2026, the festival grounds in Flur 1 in Gebesee (Sömmerda district, north of Erfurt) will transform into an electronic microcosm: over 100 acts on 6 stages focusing on hard, fast, and emotional techno. Entry from Thursday 2 PM, camping possible, admission from 16 years – a must-attend event for the Central German techno scene.

The festival officially runs on May 14th/15th, 2026 (Ascension Weekend), with entry and camping available from Thursday afternoon. The format of the Heizhaus Club Erfurt transfers the club's DNA to the open-air grounds: uncompromising techno on 6 stages.

Heizhaus Club Goes Open Air

The Heizhaus Club in Erfurt is one of the most renowned techno clubs in Eastern Germany. Once a year, the club leaves its premises and moves into the countryside for a long weekend: The Himmelfahrt Festival on Ascension Weekend is the open-air extension of the club concept into a festival format.

Gebesee – Festival Grounds in the Sömmerda District

Gebesee is a small municipality in the Sömmerda district, about 20 km north of Erfurt. The open landscape of the Thuringian Basin offers space for an open-air format of this magnitude. The festival grounds in Flur 1 (99189 Gebesee) become the dance floor for the techno scene of Central Germany for several days each year.

Six Stages, Hard Techno

Over 6 stages, more than 100 acts will perform. Musical focus: hard, fast, emotional techno – not an accessible tech-house variant, but the uncompromising style that shapes the younger generation of the European techno scene. Acts like A.N.I., Sara Landry, Prada2000, In Verruf, Somewhen, SZG, Ueberrest, and Vendex represent this musical intensity.

Camping from Thursday

Entry to the festival grounds from Thursday 2 PM – camping is part of the festival experience. Program until late at night, admission only from 16 years.
