Alternative beach festival under the lighthouse
For a long weekend, the High Seaciety Festival brings culture directly to the beach in Warnemünde. Under the lighthouse and Teepott, on one of the most famous stretches of beach on the German Baltic Sea coast, the Strand Arena transforms into a venue for an alternative beach festival. It combines the relaxed atmosphere of the seaside resort with impulses from urban culture.
Musically, the festival focuses on electronic music and live acts that provide the right beach beats on the sandy shore. The program is complemented by a design market featuring works by creatives, hands-on workshops, and exhibitions. This creates a diverse offering that combines music, design, and encounters.
The High Seaciety Festival is organized by Wal Strandbar at beach access 1 in cooperation with the Rostock & Warnemünde Tourist Center and the Strand Arena. The stated goal is an offering for all age groups with free, unfenced access. This integrates the festival into the concept of the Strand Arena, which brings sports, concerts, and festival vibes to Warnemünde beach for several months.
Warnemünde is the seaside resort and a district of the Hanseatic city of Rostock, located at the mouth of the Warnow River into the Baltic Sea. With its wide sandy beach, the distinctive lighthouse, and the Teepott, it is one of the most famous Baltic Sea resorts. The Strand Arena in the Rostock district and the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has developed into one of the most vibrant open-air venues on the coast.
The High Seaciety Festival is one of the newer festival formats on the Warnemünde coast. It complements the seaside resort's established summer program with an alternative, creative offering, turning the beach into a stage for music, design, and culture for a weekend.
