The Herbstmarkt im Hafen Fedderwardersiel is one of the most unusual market events on the Lower Saxony North Sea coast. Instead of a classic city centre setting, the market takes place directly in the active crab cutter harbour of Fedderwardersiel — with the characteristic crab cutters at the quay, the water of the sluice harbour, and the wide view of the North Sea as a backdrop.

The market is traditionally held on October 3rd. The public holiday makes the date a must-attend event for day-trippers from the entire region — from Bremen and Bremerhaven, Oldenburg, Brake, Wilhelmshaven to Friesland. In 2026, October 3rd falls on a Saturday, which will additionally ensure particularly high visitor numbers.

Regional Producers and Artisans

Regional farmers, direct marketers, manufacturers, and artisans from Wesermarsch and neighbouring regions present themselves at the market.
