Four-day Techno and House Open Air at Helenesee with Dr. Motte, Thomas Schumacher, Mark Reeve and over 60 acts
The Helenesee near Frankfurt (Oder) – created in 1958 from the former Helene open-pit mine – is one of Brandenburg's largest lakes with around 250 hectares. Its west bank has been the venue for several festivals for years: Bucht der Träumer in August (10th edition 2026), Yoga Festival, Skalar Festival, and the Helene Beach Open Air, which takes place in July. The combination of beach, forest, water, and camping infrastructure makes the location one of the most versatile festival sites in Eastern Germany.
Helene Beach 2026 runs from Thursday, July 16, to Sunday, July 19 – four days of open-air Techno and House. The festival has four stages with different sound profiles: Strandterrasse (by the water), Theatergarten (in the forest), Backyard (intimate, House), and Botanica (for the more psychedelic sets). Over 60 artists from the Techno, House, and Electronic genres make up the lineup.
Confirmed headliners include Dr. Motte, the legendary founder of Berlin's Love Parade and one of the defining figures of German Techno history. Also playing are Thomas Schumacher (techno-house veteran with numerous releases on Drumcode, Cocoon, among others), Mark Reeve, René Oldenburg, and Kaacee Komacasper. The exact stage distribution and hourly schedule will be released by Helene Beach in spring/summer 2026.
The festival utilizes the camping infrastructure of Helenesee – tickets typically include camping. The payment system is entirely cashless. With a capacity of around 2,000 guests, Helene Beach is smaller than the Bucht der Träumer following in August – but programmatically more accessible and explicitly headliner-focused. Tickets start from €29.
Frankfurt (Oder) and its Helenesee form the eastern festival axis of Brandenburg. From Helene Beach (July) via Bucht der Träumer (August) to the season finale "Seasons End" (October), the lake hosts its own festival year – especially for Techno and House lovers from Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony, neighboring Poland, and beyond.
The 2026 edition continues the established Helene Beach concept: four days of open-air Techno and House at Helenesee, with a curated selection of headliners and a clear stage architecture. The four venues – Strandterrasse, Theatergarten, Backyard, Botanica – each offer a different atmosphere, from the lakeside beach to the forest.
Headliner Dr. Motte, as the founder of the Love Parade, marks the festival's historical connection to German Techno history. Thomas Schumacher has been one of the defining producers of the German Techno scene for decades.
Detailed stage distribution and hourly schedule will be released by Helene Beach in spring/summer 2026.
