"Heimat Shoppen" – The Nationwide IHK Idea
With "Heimat Shoppen," the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) has developed a format that raises public awareness of local trade. The message: Shopping locally strengthens city centers, clubs, and social life in one's city.
Delmenhorst's Participation 2026
The DWFG is coordinating the campaign week in Delmenhorst. From September 7 to 13, 2026, the city center will experience a week of special promotions, shop window highlights, discounted offers, and themed promotions in participating stores.
Combination with the Autumn Kramermarkt
A clever combination: Starting Saturday, September 12, the autumn Kramermarkt begins on the Graftwiesen. Sunday, September 13, will be a shopping Sunday (1 PM–6 PM) – an ideal conclusion to the campaign week, where city visitors can combine the funfair, city center, and Heimat Shoppen promotions.
"Clubs" City Saturday with Club Mile
The "Clubs" City Saturday with a club mile on Lange Straße is a focal point in 2026. Delmenhorst's clubs will present themselves, recruit members, and showcase the diversity of volunteer engagement in the city. Hands-on activities for families, live demonstrations, and encounters with the clubs will characterize the day.
Treasure Hunt with Norbert Wolle
A special activity for children and families: A treasure hunt with the mascot character "Norbert Wolle" leads through the participating shops. Those who find all the stations will receive a small reward – a charming way to explore the city center playfully with children.
What Strengthens the City Center
The campaign week is more than just a sales event. It aims to raise awareness that a vibrant city center is supported by the commitment of everyone: from owner-managed retail to club sports and the corner café. The initiative shows that a modern city is not just made up of large chains but of a multitude of small players.
