Family Day on the grounds of the historic Beelitz-Heilstätten
Anyone visiting Beelitz-Heilstätten enters one of Brandenburg's most extraordinary architectural ensembles: 60 brick pavilions, built from 1898 onwards as a lung sanatorium for Berlin's LVA insured, later a Red Army hospital, then abandoned for decades. Today, the site in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district is being gradually renovated: housing, culture, tourism (Treetop Walkway), event spaces. The Heilstätter Sommerfest on Loris Campus is part of this cultural revival.
Loris Campus is the central venue on the Heilstätten grounds, a restored pavilion section with a schoolyard stage, café, and multi-purpose rooms. The summer festival uses this location as its stage and focal point; food trucks, showmen, activity stations, and raffles are spread out around it.
The concept is a classic family day with a wink, given the setting: live music from regional bands on the schoolyard stage, food court with MONK (street food label), El Grano de Café, and Beelitz beer from Leipold & Boller, hands-on activities such as hands-on beekeeping, Kollektiv LOST with art projects, Fichtenwalde Fire Department with activities for children. Raffle, cake buffet, food court for all age groups.
Quartier Beelitz-Heilstätten e.V. is the residents' and users' association of the renovated Heilstätten area. The summer festival serves not only as a leisure activity — it is a cultural-political self-affirmation: Beelitz-Heilstätten is alive again, the once-abandoned lost place is becoming a social meeting point. The exact date for 2026 will be announced in good time on qbh-ev.de (in the previous year, the date was in July/August, depending on the weather). Free admission.
After the wet and rainy premiere attempt in 2025 (the festival had to be postponed due to continuous rain), Quartier Beelitz-Heilstätten e.V. is again relying on the proven summer festival concept in 2026: an open family day with live music from regional bands, a food court (MONK Streetfood, El Grano de Café, Beelitz beer Leipold & Boller), hands-on activities (beekeeping, Fichtenwalde Fire Department, Kollektiv LOST), a raffle, and showmen. The exact date will be announced on qbh-ev.de.
The summer festival is part of the cultural revival of the listed Heilstätten grounds — and a piece of identity building for the growing community of residents on Loris Campus and in the adjacent pavilions.
The specific date for 2026 and the final lineup will be published in good time on qbh-ev.de.
