Rummaging in front of your own front door

The Haustürflohmarkt Biestow is a special kind of flea market. Unlike a classic market with a central location, residents offer their goods directly in front of their own houses. Well-preserved items from cellars, attics, or garages change hands in a familiar environment. The market extends over the entire village of Biestow, making browsing a pleasant walk through the district.

Balloons and overview map

To help visitors easily find participating properties, they are marked with balloons. Additionally, the SBZ publishes an overview map of all registered stalls in good time before the event. This allows for good planning of the rummaging tour, ensuring no stall is overlooked.

Live with Radio LOHRO

The district and community centre (SBZ) Südstadt/Biestow, together with the local radio station Radio LOHRO, reports live from the Haustürflohmarkt. This makes the neighbourhood festival audible beyond the borders of Biestow and strengthens the connection between the district and the local community radio.

Biestow is a village-like district in the south of Rostock, the largest city in the Rostock district and the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. With its village pond, old church, and manageable development, Biestow offers the ideal backdrop for a Haustürflohmarkt format that focuses on neighbourly proximity.

A growing format

The Haustürflohmarkt Biestow is organised by the SBZ Südstadt/Biestow. Since its first edition in 2023, the format has become established and a regular summer event in the district – a day of discovery, rummaging, and neighbourly encounters.
