Eighth edition of the volunteer-organized charity open-air — completely sold out
For eight editions, the Haste Open Air has combined what separates many other festivals: uncompromising music selection, volunteer organization, and consistent solidarity-based use of funds. The festival is entirely supported by Haste Open Air e.V., all helpers work free of charge, and the entire net proceeds go to the partner parish San Nicolás y San Judas in Havana, Cuba — a solidarity project with decades of tradition.
Tickets for the 2026 edition were gone sooner than ever. The festival announced sold out months before the date, a mix of loyal regular attendees and enthusiasm for the announced lineup. Those who couldn't get a ticket can still support the solidarity project directly through the organizer.
The 2026 booking brings together bands from the German punk, indie, and hardcore scene with international accents:
The combination of festival operations and development solidarity is rarely seen with such consistency in the German festival landscape. One hundred percent net to a specific project — this is only possible because bands often play for reduced fees or for free, suppliers offer special conditions, and a well-rehearsed team of helpers manages the logistics.
The open-air festival is deeply rooted in the Haste district, one of Osnabrück's green outer areas. The atmosphere is familial, the audience is mixed in age, and the catering focuses on solidarity prices. Those who attend once, come back again — and ideally bring relatives and friends with them.
The 2026 edition marks a record: never before has the festival sold out so early. Bands, helpers, and the audience merge into a well-coordinated community whose declared goal is a specific solidarity project in Cuba.
