Stunts, horse show and spectacle by the Haraldos Stunt Brothers on the Karl May Open-Air Stage
The Mörschied Open-Air Stage is primarily known as the venue for the Karl May Festivals: For years, an ambitious open-air stage has been used in a hollow at the edge of the forest, with its hillside grandstand accommodating several hundred spectators. It is precisely this setting that the Haraldos Stunt Brothers use in September for their format Haraldos 5. Element, a show that deliberately breaks out of the classic theater framework and appeals to all senses.
The focus is on the stunts: high-altitude fall acrobatics, horse scenes with riders out of the saddle, stunt fights with swords and staffs, controlled pyrotechnics, and fire scenes. The Haraldos Stunt Brothers regularly work for film and television and bring their experience to stage choreography. The show is designed as an evening-long production, supported by a dramaturgy that plays on the namesake fifth element – the spectacular itself – beyond fire, water, air, and earth. Live music and light effects complement the individual scenes, creating the impression of a grand open-air show.
Those who visited Mörschied in the summer for the Karl May Festivals know the way. Those visiting the stage for the first time should embrace the journey into the forest: The natural stage is located on the Karl May Weg, away from the main roads, and is part of a small event area with catering and parking. Advance ticket sales start in July 2026 via the Karl May Festivals website.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in the summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years: Admission about an hour before the start of the performance, catering at the event site, show start in the late afternoon or evening, an evening-long production with several show blocks, a break for catering and sanitary facilities, and a finale with pyrotechnics. The riding scenes are performed with trained show horses that are accustomed to stage work.
