If you love live music away from big venues, the Hafenkneipenfestival is your date: for two evenings, seven pubs in the Lehe district transform into small concert stages. Lehe is considered one of Bremerhaven's most characteristic neighbourhoods - with its harbour history, its old inns, and a vibrant neighbourhood culture. It is precisely there, between the bar and the stage, that the festival unfolds its special charm.
Seven Pubs, Many Acts
The venues are Bei Bobby, Blauer Peter, Zum Alten Bootsmann, Einbahnstrasse, 3 Monkeys, Shivas Garten, and Geestestuebchen. Bands and solo artists from Bremerhaven and the region perform on the improvised stages. The musical spectrum is deliberately broad: Rock, Country, HipHop, Rap, and Shanties alternate from pub to pub, allowing you to wander through the locations and discover something new again and again.
Journey to the Soul of the City
Organised by the Bremerhaven Cultural Office, the Hafenkneipenfestival is part of the series 'Die Reise zur Seele der Stadt' - a format that makes the cultural identity of the port city visible in its neighbourhoods. Admission is free, donations are requested. The participating pubs are smoking establishments, and entry is for those aged 18 and over.
Pub Tour with a Programme
Every evening from 8 PM to 11 PM, the programme runs parallel in all seven locations. This allows you to create your own route through Lehe, experience several bands in one evening, and get to know the Hanseatic-raw charm of the district along the way.
Hafenkneipenfestival — edition 2026
The sixth edition of the Hafenkneipenfestival runs on February 20th and 21st, 2026, from 8 PM to 11 PM each day in seven Lehe pubs. Among others, Pub Fiction, Useful, Große Freiheit Nr. 2, Daoud Chaib, Ven Rover, Pirratatrrria, Evry Monday, Symbiozz Family, the Jan-Hendrik Ehlers Combo, Brobick and Friends, Legit Crew, and Yrrwesen will be performing. The festival is part of the series 'Die Reise zur Seele der Stadt' by the Bremerhaven Cultural Office.
