Premiere in Krefeld — Culinary Series Expands

The Gourmet Festival is an established series by the organizer's brand Gourmet Festivals, touring German city centers with a fixed concept: white pagoda tents as exhibitor architecture, a curated mix of star cuisine, street food, wines and spirits, plus live music in the background. In 2026, the festival will stop in Krefeld for the first time — from July 10th to 12th on the central Ostwall in Krefeld's city center.

70 Exhibitors, Four Categories

The exhibitor field for the premiere is broadly positioned:

• Fine Dining — Star chefs and premium restaurants present tasting portions
• Street Food — International food trucks, burger manufacturers, Asian street food, regional specialties
• Wines and Spirits — Wineries from German growing regions and international partners, gin and whisky tastings
• Specialties — Cheese manufacturers, confectionery, delicatessen, pralines

The exhibitors are housed in the characteristic white pagodas, which give the festival its recognizable image. Pagoda tents are not just weather protection but also an optical anchor — they create a uniform festival look that transforms the Ostwall into a culinary mile.

Free Admission — Consumption Charged

Access to the festival grounds is free. Those who wish to sample will pay for tasting portions, drinks, and specialties directly at the stands. The format works through low barriers to entry — look, stroll, try something, or don't. The range allows for both a quick snack experience and an extended culinary journey in one day.

Krefeld — City of Silk and Fashion

Krefeld is an independent city in North Rhine-Westphalia, on the left bank of the Lower Rhine, traditionally known as the “City of Silk” and a fashion textile location. With the Gourmet Festival, the format enters a medium-sized city that distinguishes itself culturally through Krefeld Pinguine (ice hockey), Joseph Beuys (born in Krefeld), and the buildings by Mies van der Rohe (Haus Lange, Haus Esters). The Ostwall is the traditional event location in Krefeld's city center — and with the festival's premiere, the series expands into another NRW medium-sized city.
