2 Days, 6 Bands, 7 Concerts: Anniversary Festival of the Krefeld Cover Band, May 29–30, 2026
The Soldiers of Rock are a Krefeld-based cover band founded in 2011 — and now they are celebrating their 15th anniversary with a two-day festival at Schlachthof Krefeld. What began as a garage project for a handful of musicians has developed over the years into a stable fixture in the Lower Rhine cover rock scene.
The first evening (May 29) opens its doors at 6 PM (start 7 PM). On stage: Dead Skull (Rock/Punk/Heavy Cover), Evil Dick & The KKK Bitches (Body Count Tribute), and finally the Soldiers of Rock themselves. The evening's set focuses on the heavier spectrum — from punk classics and crossover to hard rock hits.
The second evening (May 30) starts at 5 PM (start 6 PM). On the bill: Supernova Firebirds (Hard 'n' Heavy Cover), Tigera (Pantera Tribute), Generation X (90s Alternative Cover), and again the Soldiers of Rock. This covers a broad spectrum of rock history — from Black Sabbath classics and Pantera riffs to 90s grunge anthems.
A special feature of the festival: Proceeds from merchandise go to two Krefeld charities — the STUPS Children's Center (a socio-pediatric facility) and Tafel Krefeld (food distribution for those in need). Thus, the anniversary combines musical tradition with social commitment.
The Schlachthof Krefeld is one of the most important concert venues in the Lower Rhine region. Housed in a former industrial hall, it offers space for 1,000–2,000 guests and has become a must-play stage for rock, metal, and indie tours over the past decades — for both national and local bands.
The anniversary festival marks 15 years of Soldiers of Rock and is the highlight of the Krefeld cover rock scene in 2026. On both evenings, the band, along with guest acts, presents a clearly defined program — from a heavier punk and Body Count set on Friday to a Pantera tribute battle on Saturday.
The connection with the charity recipients STUPS Children's Center and Tafel Krefeld also makes the festival an act of solidarity for the Krefeld community — an aspect that has been important to the Soldiers of Rock since the band's inception.
