6th Goslar Garden Market on May 3, 2026, at Jakobikirchhof from 11 AM to 5 PM — around 130 exhibitors, Sunday shopping, and info booths on gardens, bees, and herbs
The Jakobikirchhof is one of Goslar's most beautiful inner-city squares. Surrounded by St. Jacob's Church and historic half-timbered houses, the square offers an atmospheric backdrop for the annual garden market. Its central location in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage old town ensures that the market is easily accessible on foot and can be well combined with a visit to the city center.
With its 6th edition in 2026, the Goslar Garden Market looks back on a successful development phase. The constant increase in the number of exhibitors — around 130 stands are expected in 2026 — shows the growing importance of the market. The selection of exhibitors includes nurseries and plant suppliers from the region and beyond, manufacturers of garden tools, providers of garden decorations and outdoor furniture, textile and jewelry artisans with nature themes, and much more.
At the heart of the market are, of course, the plants: perennials, summer flowers, herbs, vegetable seedlings, berry bushes, fruit trees, roses, rhododendrons, and specialties from regional nurseries. In addition, exhibitors present garden tools, outdoor furniture, decorative elements, fountains, insect hotels, bird feeders, and much more. Anyone looking to redesign their spring garden will find practically everything they need here.
In parallel with the Garden Market, a Sunday shopping event will take place in Goslar's city center from 1 PM to 6 PM. Shops will open their doors, allowing garden enthusiasts to combine their market visit with a shopping spree in the historic old town. This combination makes the day an attractive outing for the entire region.
Musical contributions by local groups create a pleasant atmosphere. Information booths provide knowledge on important gardening topics: beekeepers inform about bees and pollination, herb experts showcase the diversity of medicinal plants, nature conservation associations present their work on nesting boxes and wild bees, and seed exchange fairs facilitate the exchange of old varieties.
Admission to the Garden Market is free. This makes the market open to everyone — from experienced garden owners to balcony gardeners and plant beginners.
The 2026 edition continues the successful development phase. With around 130 exhibitors, a wide selection of plants, tools, and garden specialties will again be presented. The combination with the Sunday shopping event makes the day an attractive outing.
