GOLDrausch — Goldenstedt's Brand Name
With the tongue-in-cheek name GOLDrausch (Gold Rush), the municipality of Goldenstedt branded its traditional fair days a few years ago. The wordplay between "Gold-" and "Goldenstedt" has become a trademark, and the twice-yearly fair days in spring and autumn are among the best-known Volksfest (public festival) formats in the northern Vechta district. In 2026, the spring edition will receive a special emphasis.
Inauguration of the New Bypass
In May 2026, the newly built Goldenstedt bypass will be officially inaugurated after several years of construction. The municipality is using the spring GOLDrausch weekend to celebrate the infrastructural improvement together with the population. Speeches, an official ceremony, and a subsequent Volksfest in the newly paved town center make the weekend a date of village historical significance.
Program for Families
As is customary for fair days, the program is focused on families: bouncy castles in various sizes, pony rides for the little ones, craft activities, small games, and a large flea market with private and commercial vendors on the main street. Culinary offerings range from classic bratwurst to crêpes and sweets, as well as regional specialties.
Saturday Evening Party
While the fair days are designed to be family-friendly during the day, the town center transforms into a party location on Saturday evening. A DJ and catering will ensure a danceable atmosphere late into the night. This makes the spring GOLDrausch a cross-generational meeting place — from the children's program to the evening party.

- Saturday, May 2nd: Opening of the fair days and official ceremony for the inauguration of the new bypass, speeches, blessing, musical accompaniment; all day bouncy castles, pony rides, craft and activity stations, regional exhibitors, refreshments; in the evening, a big party with DJ and catering
- Sunday, May 3rd: Morning pint (Frühschoppen), family day with bouncy castles and pony rides, large flea market along the main street, regional food and drinks, relaxed conclusion in the afternoon
