Godramstein Village District

Godramstein is one of Landau's village districts and is located on the western outskirts at the transition to the Palatinate Forest. With its vineyards, old farmhouses, and the village center around the church, it has retained a characteristic Palatinate charm. The Weinkerwe has been one of the major festivals of the year for generations.

New Festival Grounds: Village Square Instead of Courtyard

The Godramsteiner Weinkerwe was moved to the village square at Kirchgasse 1 a few years ago. This brought the festival into the open center of the village, making it more visible to passers-by and day-trippers from Landau. The central location on the village square shapes the atmosphere and proceedings today.

Opening on Friday

On Friday at 7 PM, the reigning Wine Princess and the Mayor will jointly open the Kerwe. With the tapping of the keg, welcoming remarks, and a first glass of wine, the festival weekend begins. Afterwards, the band “Acoustic Vibration” will play, creating a great atmosphere on the square with their acoustic cover versions and original pieces.

Saturday with “Skye”

On Saturday evening from 8 PM, the band “Skye” takes the stage. Palatinate classics, rock, and pop alternate. During the day, wine is served, along with food and activities for families.

Sunday: Service and Frühschoppen

Sunday begins with an ecumenical service, where the Protestant and Catholic communities celebrate together outdoors. This is followed by the traditional Weißwurst-Frühschoppen at 11 AM with brass music – a firm fixture of Palatinate Kerwe culture.

Schoppenbähnel

The Schoppenbähnel – a traditional festival bus service – connects Landau and Godramstein every 30 minutes. This makes traveling from the city center convenient without a car.
