Pop/Dance of the "GAG" Generation

Gestört aber GeiL — the Berlin pop/dance duo of Nico Wendel and Sebastian Förster — has been one of the defining voices of the German pop-dance scene since the early 2010s. Their hits like "Ich & Du" and "Unter meiner Haut" topped the charts and shaped the sound of festivals and radio stations; their own Berlin festival in the Parkbühne Wuhlheide has been a staple of the summer festival season in southeastern Berlin since 2019.

15 Years — Festival 2026

With the 2026 edition, the duo celebrates its 15th anniversary — and simultaneously the seventh festival edition in Wuhlheide. Date: Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Parkbühne Wuhlheide (Kindl-Bühne) in Köpenick. Doors open at 3:00 PM, show starts at 4:00 PM. Guest acts, support DJs, and singers will perform alongside — the full lineup will be announced via the official festival website and social media.

Parkbühne Wuhlheide — Berlin Open-Air Classic

The Parkbühne Wuhlheide (officially Kindl-Bühne Wuhlheide) is one of Germany's largest open-air concert venues — nestled within Volkspark Wuhlheide in the Treptow-Köpenick district, with a capacity of around 17,000 standing places. It was built in 1949 and has been operating as a concert stage again since 1992; many major international acts (from R.E.M. to Iron Maiden to Kendrick Lamar) have performed here. The surrounding forest creates a unique acoustic and atmosphere that defines the festival.

Stadium Day Format — Doors 3 PM, Show 4 PM, Ends 11 PM

The festival follows the typical stadium day format of Wuhlheide: Doors open at 3:00 PM (early arrival recommended), show starts at 4:00 PM, usually with several opening acts or DJ sets before the headliner, ending around 10:30–11:00 PM. Glass bottles, cans, or large bags (>DIN A4) are not allowed on the premises; non-alcoholic drinks up to 0.5 l in Tetra Pak or PET can be brought in. The organizer is Subway Event Berlin.

Pop Mainstream in Berlin's Treptow-Köpenick District

While Berlin is considered a global capital of electronic and indie scenes, the Wuhlheide festival series by Gestört aber GeiL is a deliberate pop statement: mainstream dance-pop in its natural Berlin open-air habitat. The format attracts fans from all over Germany and German-speaking countries; many travel on the festival day and return the next. Within the state of Berlin, in the Treptow-Köpenick district, the festival is one of the most reliable large-scale events of the Wuhlheide season.
