Over 120 international exhibitors in the UNESCO Corvey Castle Garden — rare plants, garden furniture, and culinary delights from July 31 to August 2, 2026
The Gartenfest Corvey is one of Germany's most beautiful garden fairs — on par with competitors in Schwetzingen, Trauttmansdorff, or Schloss Ippenburg. What sets Corvey apart: the private castle garden of the von Ratibor family, normally not publicly accessible, opens its doors for three days to an international audience of garden lovers, designers, and architects. The next edition will take place from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2, 2026.
More than 120 selected exhibitors will present their collections in the expansive castle gardens. The curation is strict — mass-produced goods or discount assortments are excluded.
Dutch nurseries will bring palms, Mediterranean plants, container plants, and exotic climbers. French exhibitors will showcase roses, lavender, and herbs from Provence. English plant designers will feature perennials and cottage garden classics. Tuscan fruit trees (lemons, oranges, pomegranates) and olive trees are among the visual highlights of the festival.
High-quality garden furniture made from teak, iron, and natural stone. Scandinavian design brands with minimalist aesthetics. Pavilions, pergolas, water features, sculptures, and sunshades.
English antique dealers will bring garden decorations from old English manor houses: troughs, fountains, sundials, and sculptures. Art objects by contemporary sculptors in a garden style.
Expanded assortment: Cashmere fashion, English home accessories, regional floristry (floral wreaths), natural cosmetics, and leather goods.
One of the hallmarks of Gartenfest Corvey is its exceptional culinary diversity:
Schloss Corvey is a former Benedictine abbey with roots dating back to the 9th century — founded as a Carolingian Imperial Abbey, it was one of the most powerful spiritual centers of the early Middle Ages in Germany. The Westwerk of the abbey church has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014. Today, the estate is privately owned by Prince Viktor V., Duke of Ratibor. The private castle garden — usually inaccessible — opens its doors for three days to an international audience.
Höxter is located in the district of Höxter in eastern Westphalia, on the Weser river, in the hilly Weser Uplands. An ideal weekend destination for garden enthusiasts: castle tours, Westwerk visits, walks along the Weser, and strolls through Höxter's historic old town. The Krukenburg Robber's Cave and the nearby Hannoversche Klippen complement the tourist program.
The 2026 edition runs from July 31 to August 2, 2026, daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. Organized by Kulturkreis Höxter-Corvey gGmbH.

Come on Friday — the quietest day, with the most relaxed conversations with exhibitors. Allow at least 4–5 hours; many visitors stay the whole day and dine on site. If you want to visit the castle: separate castle tours and admission to the Westwerk (World Heritage ticket office). For the truly rare plants, it's best to come in the morning hours — the best specimens sell out early.
