Open Air directly at the island harbour
Wyk auf Föhr is the only town on the island of Föhr in the district of Nordfriesland and the central ferry port for the Frisian Islands. The concert area is located directly on the harbour on Ostkaje and Fischmarktkaje — an open space with a view of the water, ferries, and the day guests arriving. It is precisely in this setting that FÖHR TANZT! takes place: a two-day concert format curated by Föhr Tourismus GmbH every year in July.
What you will experience
The format combines a modern Pop/Electro headliner with a classic tribute night. This makes the festival family-friendly (children under 12 have free admission) and at the same time mature enough for a late-night dance open-air. Admission starts at 6:00 PM each day.
The festival concept
- Friday — Pop/Electro live concert
- Saturday — Tribute Night with two renowned bands
- Shuttle ticket: Ferry Dagebüll–Wyk + admission + return trip with MS Adler Rüm Hart
- Family-friendly: Children under 12 free, from 16 free admission until midnight
Arrival as part of the experience
Those coming from the mainland for the concert can book a shuttle ticket: ferry trip from Dagebüll-Mole to Wyk including admission and return trip at 00:15 or 01:00 AM with MS Adler Rüm Hart. Places are strictly limited — those arriving without a shuttle will have to rely on scheduled ferry services and must organize accommodation on the island by the concert evening at the latest.

The 2026 edition combines two very different concert formats: a Pop/Electro producer on Friday, and a Rock tribute night on Saturday. Both evenings begin with admission at 6:00 PM.

Getting there
By train to Niebüll, then take the Marschbahn railway to Dagebüll-Mole. Ferry from Dagebüll to Wyk auf Föhr (W.D.R. Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei). If you book a shuttle ticket, the ferry is included.
Tickets
Standard ticket or shuttle ticket (ferry + admission + return trip). Both options are available at ticket.foehr.de. Advance booking recommended, box office prices are higher.
Age restrictions
Children under 12 years free. Teenagers under 16 years only accompanied by an adult and with a parental consent form ("Muttizettel"). From 16 years, free admission until midnight.
