Flörsheimer Markt (Flörsheim-Dalsheim)

The Flörsheimer Markt in Flörsheim-Dalsheim, a Rhenish-Hessian municipality in the Wonnegau region, is one of the characteristic wine festivals held on the third weekend of August. It is jointly organized by the municipality of Flörsheim-Dalsheim, the Beyer-Bähr winery, and the Flörsheimer Hof winery – a cooperative structure responsible for the successful festival concept.

Weedenplatz as Festival Scenery

The venue is the Weedenplatz, a central square in Flörsheim-Dalsheim. Here, the festival infrastructure, the stage, and the wine stands are set up. The size of the square allows it to accommodate a larger audience without losing the intimate character of a village wine festival.

'Fräulein von Flörsheim'

The opening on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 6 PM is a social highlight. The focus is on the 'Fräulein von Flörsheim' – the local wine queen or wine representative – who is welcomed in a ceremonial act with her insignia. A sparkling wine reception for invited wine princesses from neighboring communities and a performance by the local men's choir complement the kickoff.

Three Days of Festivities

The festival runs from Friday to Sunday. Friday: Opening with sparkling wine reception, men's choir, evening festival with catering and stage program. Saturday: All-day wine market with participating wineries and clubs, music in the evening. Sunday: Morning pint, family program, festival winding down in the late evening.

Wine and Culinary Offerings

The two leading wineries, Beyer-Bähr and Flörsheimer Hof, present their vintages. They are complemented by other stands from the community offering culinary delights – from bratwurst and potato salad to Rhenish-Hessian specialties like Spundekäs and Handkäs.
