Festival Week 155 Years FFW Griesstätt

The Griesstätt Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded in 1871 — and is celebrating its 155th birthday in 2026 with a festival week that belongs to the entire community in the Rosenheim district. When a village association celebrates an anniversary of this magnitude, it traditionally becomes a festival that reaches far beyond the fire brigade: associations, neighboring fire brigades, and guests from all over the region come together.

A classic Bavarian fire brigade festival program is spread over six days: The Bieranstich (beer tapping) opens the week, the Blaulichttag (blue light day) features emergency vehicles and demonstrations by blue light organizations, a Bier- und Weinfest (beer and wine festival) provides sociable evenings, the Festsonntag (festival Sunday) with participation of associations forms the ceremonial highlight, and the concluding Kesselfleischessen (pork stew) brings the festival week to a down-to-earth close.

The celebration takes place in the festival tent on the festival grounds in Griesstätt. The organizer is the Griesstätt Fire Brigade Association, coordinated via the Rosenheim District Fire Brigade Association. Reserved tables can be booked for the beer and wine festival — for example, an eight-person table with a snack platter and two bottles of wine from Weingut Dexheimer.
