Magic of Lights in the Kurpark
The Festival of Lights in the Kurpark Bad Zwischenahn has become one of the most attended summer events on Lake Zwischenahn — up to 10,000 guests follow the events around the Wandelhalle (promenade hall) and the promenade. The organizer is Bad Zwischenahn Touristik.
2026 Edition on July 18
The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, July 18, starting at 5 p.m. In the evening, the Kurpark is transformed into a fairytale summer scene with countless light sources, illuminated water features, and accent lighting. Free admission.
2026 Program Highlights
- From 5 p.m.: Opening of the illumination and gastronomic offerings
- 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: Concert with the band 4hugs and DJ sets by DJ Thi Rex
- Approx. 10 p.m.: Torch swimming by the DLRG — a visual highlight on Lake Zwischenahn
- Approx. 11 p.m.: Fire show Devilsfire — fakirs and artists with flowing flames
- Ongoing: Stilt walkers, illumination accents, food and drink stands

The Kurpark Bad Zwischenahn, with its direct location on Lake Zwischenahn, is the ideal setting for a festival of lights. The Wandelhalle, promenade, and the lakeside are all integrated into the staging.
