Eventing in the Löwenberger Land
The Löwenberger Land is a municipality comprising 14 districts in the northwestern Oberhavel district, characterized by forests, meadows, and sparse settlement. This geography makes the location attractive for eventing: there is space for long cross-country courses, water jumps, and natural obstacles, as required by the discipline.
From April 10th to 12th, 2026, the Tobias Pfitzmann agricultural business will once again host its Festival of Equestrian Sports – a competition that is much more than a local riding event: it is part of the nationwide eventing qualification system and is considered a popular spring start for the Brandenburg eventing scene.
13 Competitions over Three Days
The program includes 13 competitions covering the entire spectrum of eventing levels:
- Cross-Führzügel (Lead-Rein Cross-Country) – introductory competitions for the youngest riders, accompanied by hand
- Class E (Entry Level) and Class A (Beginner Level)
- Class L (Light) – the standard for ambitious amateur riders
- Class L** – the national competition level for the elite
- Qualifications for the German Championship of 5- and 6-year-old eventing horses
The German Championship qualifications are the sporting centerpiece: young horses are tested for their cross-country suitability, agility, and temperament – those who score well here qualify for the national finals.
Three Disciplines – Three Days
As is typical for eventing competitions, the program is divided into three parts:
- Dressage in marked arenas
- Show Jumping over a course of standard obstacles
- Cross-Country Ride over natural obstacles, ditches, and water crossings
Tobias Pfitzmann's facility has all three infrastructures – unusual for a competition of this size and the reason why the Löwenberger Festival of Equestrian Sports is now a fixed date in the calendar.
Live Results and Atmosphere
Competition results are broadcast live via equi-score.de, allowing even distant spectators to follow the action. On-site, there are catering stands, an equestrian sports market, and ample opportunities to connect with riders, trainers, and horse breeders – a family weekend with sport, nature, and stable air.
