Community Life as a Town Festival

The Festival of Associations Zehdenick is a classic association festival: the approximately 70 associations active in the town come together for one day and jointly organize a town festival. Sports clubs give demonstrations, music clubs perform, nature conservation clubs set up stalls, and children's and youth groups organize hands-on activities.

Festival Grounds Philipp-Müller-Straße

The venue is the festival grounds at Philipp-Müller-Straße 35 – a central event area in the town of Zehdenick, in the Oberhavel district. The grounds offer space for several stages, a market with stalls, and an area for the associations' presentations.

Program

The day is divided into two sections. In the afternoon, the associations take over the program – demonstrations, craft activities, hands-on stations, dance groups. In the evening, a stage show with live music and a DJ set takes place. The highlight is the fireworks display around 9 p.m., which concludes the festival day on a bright note.

Zehdenick and Oberhavel

Zehdenick is a small town in northern Oberhavel, known for its brickworks and the industrial monument from the monastery period. In the state of Brandenburg, the region belongs to the Ruppiner Seenland and is characterized by the Havel lakes. The association festival is one of the largest town events of the year and an expression of the special importance of organized association life in the East German province.

Date 2026

The exact date for 2026 had not yet been officially confirmed at the time of research. In 2024, the festival took place on May 25th; a comparable date for 2026 is expected. Current information is available on zehdenick.de and the festival's Facebook page.
