Two-day electronic music festival at Rotenburg Airfield with over 40 DJs on 4 stages
Rotenburg (Wümme) Airfield in the district of Rotenburg, Lower Saxony, is a small sports airfield that becomes the stage for one of Lower Saxony's most exciting electronic festivals for a weekend in the summer. Ferdinands Feld utilizes the unusual infrastructure of an airfield—runways as stage access, hangars as indoor stages, the open area as the main stage—thereby creating a festival atmosphere that distinctly differs from classic open-air locations. The organizer is Ferdinands Feld GmbH, which has continuously expanded the festival since its premiere.
The stage concept focuses on four thematically distinct terminals (Terminal 1, 2, 3, and 5). This stage structure deliberately plays on the airfield symbolism and allows for various subgenres to be presented simultaneously—from harder Techno and Hardstyle to more classic House and Trance styles, as well as progressive or more experimental areas. Over 40 DJs and live acts are spread across the two festival days, allowing the audience to curate their own festival route.
The 2026 lineup is top-class and demonstrates the festival's reach. With acts like Gestört Aber Geil, Showtek, Harris & Ford, D-Block & S-Te-Fan, Marten Hørger, Klaudia Gawlas, Rebelion, AXMO, Mark Bale, The Saints, and many others, established names from the European electronic scene are represented. Alongside them, emerging talents and regional acts such as Dual Damage, Breitner, Dimitri K, Lekkerfaces, Luke Madness, and Nick Cody are featured. This mix of international stars and the new generation is one of the hallmarks of Ferdinands Feld.
As befits a two-day festival of this magnitude, on-site camping is available. The festival infrastructure—food courts, bars, sanitary facilities, medical care—is professionally organized. With over 20,000 expected visitors and record advance sales for 2026, the festival underscores its growing importance in the North German festival landscape.
From July 31st to August 1st, 2026, Rotenburg (Wümme) Airfield will once again transform into one of Northern Germany's most spectacular electronic festival locations. Four stages, over 40 acts, and more than 20,000 expected visitors characterize the two-day festival.
