Fehrbellin and its History

Fehrbellin is famous in history books for the Battle of Fehrbellin on June 18, 1675 — one of the most important battles in Brandenburg-Prussian history, in which Elector Frederick William defeated the Swedes, laying the foundation for Prussia's rise. Today, Fehrbellin is a small town with about 9,500 inhabitants, located in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district, on the edge of the Rhinluch.

The Fehrbellin Festival Days Since 1954

The town festival has been organized by the FKK Fehrbelliner Karneval Klub e.V. since 1954. The venue is Kurfürstenpark — a park-like open space in the city center where the stage is set up, snack stands are placed, and carousels are installed. The program runs over three days with live music, culinary highlights from regional and national cuisine, and entertainment for the whole family.

2026: World Cup Theme with Football

The 2026 Fehrbellin Festival Days are themed around the 2026 FIFA World Cup — in addition to the classic town festival program, there will be public viewing of the World Cup matches on a big screen in Kurfürstenpark. The organizers are thus combining the World Cup atmosphere with the town festival, offering added value, especially for families and young people.

Getting There and Around

Those who are in the region anyway can combine the festival days with hiking in the Rhinluch, a visit to the historical battlefield memorial site, or days at Lake Ruppin. Reachable from Berlin-Hennigsdorf with the RB55 in 1.5 hours.
