Subcultural four-day festival by the Bergheider See lake, next to the F60 conveyor bridge
The Feel Festival is one of East Germany's defining subculture festivals. It takes place annually at the end of July on Bergheider See in Lichterfeld-Schacksdorf (Elbe-Elster district) – a lake created from a former lignite opencast mine in the Lausitzer Seenland. Immediately adjacent stands the Förderbrücke F60, a 502 m long industrial monument, which has been promoted as the "Eiffel Tower of Lusatia" since its decommissioning and serves as a spectacular festival backdrop in 2026.
Feel deliberately avoids mainstream headliners. Instead, 10 thematically distinct stages present an eclectic program of hip-hop, techno, house, disco, indie, rock, punk, and live acts over four days. The curatorial line connects established acts from the Berlin club and independent scene with emerging newcomers. For 2026, 20+ collectives have already been announced:
The complete line-up is traditionally announced only when the festival opens – part of the Feel DNA.
In addition to music, Feel sees itself as a curated art and culture festival:
The festival thrives on camping directly by the lake – four days of open-air with a campsite, showers, food trucks, and late-night floors. Shuttle buses run from Finsterwalde station to the festival grounds, which can be reached by car via the L60 towards Bergheider See. Campers can reserve pitches in advance.
The 2026 motto emphasizes solidarity and cohesion – "stronger than any border," as the organizers put it. The festival positions itself politically and culturally as a counterpoint to the commercial festival landscape and has been supported by a dedicated community since its first edition.
The Feel Festival 2026 takes place from Thursday, July 23rd, to Sunday, July 26th, 2026, at Bergheider See in the Elbe-Elster district. The organizer is Feel Festival GmbH.
The motto "Feel Unterwegs – Overcoming Borders Together" places a clear emphasis on solidarity, diversity, and activism in 2026. On ten thematically distinct stages, a curated line-up will perform, ranging from indie and rock to hip-hop and punk, and from techno, house, and disco. Over 20 collectives from Berlin and the East German club scene have already been announced: BCCO, BIPOLAR, CURA BERLIN, DUCT TAPE, HEISSS, LAYERS, M.A.S. LIMITED, MITMISCHEN, NONCHALANCE, NOTINMYHOUSE, PARYIA, POLYAMOR, PULS, SACHSENTRANCE, SENSUS, SESH, SEVEN, SHOCKWERK, TEENAGE DREAMS, TOY TONICS – the complete line-up will be revealed when the festival opens.
In addition to music, there will be artistic installations, workshops, queer-feminist discourse formats, and a comprehensive awareness program. The F60 conveyor bridge, located directly next to the site, serves as an iconic backdrop.
