Niederburg Manderscheid as a Venue
Niederburg Manderscheid is the lower of the two Manderscheid castles, situated on a rocky outcrop above the Lieser valley. The castle complex dates back to the 12th century and is owned by the Eifelverein (Eifel Association). In the castle courtyard, framed by old stone walls, an impressive Christmas atmosphere is created during Advent.

This experience is unforgettable for children and often serves as a reminder of the original meaning of the festival for adults.

- Honey: Eifel beekeepers present regional varieties.
Mulled Wine, Waffles, Roasted Almonds
The gastronomic offerings include classic Christmas market specialties: mulled wine, waffles, roasted almonds, bratwurst, potato pancakes, crêpes. The combination of castle atmosphere and warm food creates a particularly cozy Advent impression.

Manderscheid – Two Castles in the Lieser Valley
The two Manderscheid castles – Niederburg and Oberburg – are iconic landmarks of the Vulkaneifel. They perch on opposite rocky spurs above the deeply cut Lieser valley and shape the landscape. The Castle Christmas makes this landscape heritage particularly tangible.
