New Event Format for Faßberg

With the Faßberger Feierabend, the Förderverein Faßberg e.V. launched a new event format in 2025: a casual outdoor after-work gathering intended to bring together the citizens and guests of the municipality of Faßberg in a relaxed atmosphere. The second edition on June 4, 2026 builds on the success of the premiere and will again take place at the Platz der Luftbrücke in the center of Faßberg.

Platz der Luftbrücke — The Central Festival Grounds

The Platz der Luftbrücke (Air Bridge Square) bears its name in memory of the Berlin Airlift of 1948/49, in which Faßberg Air Base played a central role. Today, the square is the open center of the town and the venue for many events — from the weekly market to club festivals. With the Faßberger Feierabend, it is now also becoming a regular meeting place for a new, informal summer event.

Sociability, Live Music, and Regional Catering

The concept is simple and inviting: after work, Faßberg residents and guests come together, enjoy cool drinks and regional food, listen to live music, and meet neighbors, friends, and new acquaintances. No admission fee, no rigid program structure — just a relaxed summer atmosphere that adds a bit more urban flair to the town. This was precisely the idea behind the 2025 premiere, and it's exactly what is intended to work again in 2026.

Förderverein Faßberg e.V. as Organizer

The organizer is the Förderverein Faßberg e.V., which is committed to revitalizing the community and promoting local initiatives. The Faßberger Feierabend event complements established events such as the Schützenfest (marksmen's festival) and the Day of the Bundeswehr with a low-threshold, summery occasion for people to meet.
