Medieval for Everyone

The Fantastica Festival was launched in 2016 to give the general public access to the fascinating world of ConQuest of Mythodea. While the LARP itself is an event for registered players, the Fantastica Festival combines the character of a classic medieval market with the fantastic elements of the Mythodea world.

Concept and Atmosphere

The festival transports visitors into a world where medieval times, fantasy, and LARP merge. Knights in armor populate the paths, medieval camps with tents and campfires are spread across the grounds, and a medieval Ferris wheel attraction made of wood and without modern drive technology is among the most unusual rides in Northern Germany.

Crafts and Market

The craft stalls offer a wide range: leather, wood, blacksmith work, pottery, jewelry, mead, medieval clothing, bows, swords. Many exhibitors are simultaneously players of ConQuest of Mythodea or part of Vehi Mercatus, a dedicated market organization for medieval-fantastic markets in Germany.

Family Offer

For the youngest visitors, there is face painting, simple archery activities, and games related to medieval times and fantasy. The medieval Ferris wheel attraction is also suitable for younger children. Families will find options for all tastes in the wide selection of food and drinks.

Admission and Prices

Prices 2026: Adults €7.50, Costumed or Reduced €6, Children up to 14 years €5.50, Children under 6 years free entry. The discount for costumed visitors (people in medieval clothing) is a conscious incentive to immerse themselves in the atmosphere.

Location at ConQuest of Mythodea

The festival takes place simultaneously with the main event of ConQuest of Mythodea — from August 6th to 8th, 2026. This connection creates a unique atmosphere: while thousands of players experience their stories in the LARP area, public visitors can get an impression of the fascinating world at the Fantastica Festival and experience an authentic medieval market at the same time.
