The Newest Village Festival on the Shores of Stocksee

The Familienfestival Stocksee is one of the newest event formats in the Plön district – the third edition in September 2026 underscores this. The municipality of Stocksee initiated the festival to make the summer's end on the eastern shore of Stocksee a fixed date in the village calendar and to offer families from the Holsteinische Schweiz region a casual meeting point.

A Festival with a Natural Backdrop

The venue is the sports field on Seeweg, just a few metres from the Stocksee shore. The lake is considered one of Schleswig-Holstein's cleanest and most idyllic lakes, nestled within the Holsteinische Schweiz Nature Park. This location gives the festival a special touch: those who wish can combine their visit with a circular walk around the lake or a stroll through the protected beech forests.

Family-Friendly Programme

As the name suggests, the Familienfestival consistently focuses on activities for children and families: hands-on stations, movement games, regional culinary stands, and cosy get-togethers to mark the end of summer.
