A Flag Consecration in the Affing Castle Courtyard
The flag consecration is a highlight in the club life of rural Catholic Bavaria: A new club flag is blessed by the church, friendly clubs and patron clubs travel to attend, and the celebration lasts for three days. The Catholic Youth Movement Affing (KLJB Affing) invites you to the flag consecration on June 19th, 20th, and 21st, 2026, in the Affing Castle Courtyard, a baroque ensemble in the market town of Affing in the Aichach-Friedberg district, located about 15 kilometers northeast of Augsburg.
Watering Can Party on Friday Evening
The kickoff on Friday, June 19th, 2026, starting at 8:00 PM in the festival tent, is dedicated to the famous KLJB Watering Can Party: Cocktails and mixed drinks are served in 1- and 5-liter watering cans — a firmly established tradition of the Bavarian youth. The band DiaLeckt plays live, followed by DJ D-Tronic. The "Drehrausch" carousel spins in the outdoor area.
Cabaret Evening with Wolfgang Krebs
On Saturday, June 20th, 2026, Bavarian political cabaret comes to town. The well-known Bavarian cabaret artist Wolfgang Krebs performs at 8:00 PM with "Die Bayerischen Löwen" — political parodies centered around Söder, Merz, and Bavarian local color. Admission from 6:00 PM, hot meals are served before and during the break. In the Schloss-Stadel (castle barn), there will be a public viewing of the World Cup match Germany vs. Ivory Coast from 10:00 PM.
Festive Sunday with Flag Consecration
The festive Sunday, June 21st, 2026, begins at 7:30 AM with the reception of the clubs. This is followed by the festive church service, a parade through Affing, and the actual flag consecration ceremony. On the festival grounds, "Da Oa und die Andan" and the party band "Lausbuam" will perform. For the festive Sunday, the Swabian-Bavarian must-do program includes: Weißwurst breakfast, lunch, coffee, and cake.
About KLJB Affing
The Catholic Youth Movement Affing is one of the most traditional youth clubs in the region. With annual events such as the classic car meeting in the castle courtyard and active engagement in parish life, the KLJB shapes community life in Affing. The 2026 flag consecration marks a special year for the members — the new club flag is intended to be a symbol for the coming years of Catholic youth engagement in the Swabian-Bavarian border region.

Festival Weekend 2026 in the Castle Courtyard
KLJB Affing celebrates its flag consecration 2026 from June 19th to 21st in the baroque Affing Castle Courtyard. The festival grounds and tent are located at Schlossplatz 2, in the heart of the market town of Affing, about 15 kilometers northeast of Augsburg.
On Friday evening, the famous Watering Can Party starts at 8:00 PM — mixed drinks in 1- and 5-liter watering cans, live music with the band DiaLeckt, followed by DJ D-Tronic. The Drehrausch carousel operates outdoors.
Saturday focuses on the cabaret evening, and Sunday features the festive ceremony with the flag consecration.

Getting There
Affing is located on the A 8 (Munich–Stuttgart, Friedberg or Augsburg-Ost exit) and is connected to Augsburg via the state road 2052. By train: from Augsburg Hauptbahnhof with the Bayerische Regiobahn to Aichach (Line RB87), then bus 213 to Affing-Mitte. It is about nine kilometers from Aichach station.
